The Thompson Hollywood is Hiring for a Dishwasher/Events Prep Cook!
This is a part-time position dishwashing and prepping food for the hotel events. You will be expected to work at a fast pace while taking care to follow SOPs, directions from Chef, and all CA Health Department regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Polishes silver and glassware. Ensures complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Loads, runs and unloads dish machine.
Maintains cleanliness of dishwashing space and reports any problems to Management immediately.
Washes, sanitizes and stores all tableware and kitchenware according to Heath Department.
Bags and hauls trash to dumpster at designated times.
Maintains adequate levels of dish detergents and cleaning supplies. If running low, inform Chef before it runs out.
Performs other related duties as assigned by the Chef or manager-on-duty.
Must have flexible availability to work mornings, afternoons, and nights, including weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
Previous dishwashing in high-volume environment strongly preferred.
Be able to work in hot, wet, humid and loud environment for long periods of time.
Be able to work in a standing position for up to 8 hours.
Be able to safely lift bags, cases and stacks weighing up to 50 pounds.
Must have current CA food handler’s card.
Always act in a positive, professional manner.
Follow safety, sanitation rules and laws at all times.
