I am the owner of Healing Force of the Universe, a record store and event space in Pasadena. We have a large retail space and are cultivating a community around music with our great record collection, in-store performances that we host four to eight times a week, and music classes for kids pre-K (0-5 year old rock band classes) to high school (after school advanced jazz program and choir classes incoming). We host a lot of great artists in our space and have become a hub for the musical community. The room sounds great and is very inviting. Beautiful, natural light during the day.
We have a back room that we envision becoming a coffee shop window for the neighbors around us living in a coffee desert (no great coffee shops within walking distance) or for commuters hitting the 210 or heading into Old Town in the mornings or for the college students attending Pasadena City College five blocks away. The back room is about 189 sq feet and would require some build out. We see a sweet cross-branded collaboration with someone interested in creating or expanding a coffee program. So many of our customers wish they could linger and have suggested how great it would be if they could work from our space while enjoying a cup of joe.
