Job Summary:

As a Community Food Service Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in our mission by ensuring the safe, timely, and courteous delivery of meals to various local shelters. This position requires early morning availability, physical stamina for handling heavy loads, and a commitment to excellent service.

Key Responsibilities:

Safely transport food items from our central kitchen to assigned shelters following a predetermined route and delivery schedule.

Load and unload delivery vehicles with prepared meals, ensuring secure and neat organization for efficient distribution.

Utilize carts and other aids for moving heavy loads from the vehicle to the delivery points, observing all safety protocols.

Complete deliveries with a focus on timeliness, typically by 7:30 AM, to meet the needs of the shelters and their residents.

Maintain accurate delivery records, reporting any discrepancies or issues to the management team immediately.

Provide friendly and respectful interaction with shelter staff and residents, embodying our company's values of compassion and community support.

Adhere to all traffic and safety laws, ensuring a clean driving record is maintained and the vehicle is kept in good working condition.

Schedule:

Part-time: Sunday, Tuesday, Friday

Shift Time: Sunday 8am-9am until 2pm-3pm, Tuesday 12:00pm-1pm until 6pm-7pm and Friday 9am-10am until 2pm-3pm

We will be moving to Lincoln Heights soon.

The sites are between Long Beach and Hollywood.

Compensation:

$500/week paid every 5th (1-15) and 20th (16- end of the month).

Requirements:

Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.

Experience in driving and safely operating a delivery vehicle.

Proven ability to lift and move heavy loads (50lbs-70lbs), utilizing carts and lifting aids as necessary.

Strong customer service skills, with the ability to interact courteously and respectfully with shelter staff and residents.

High level of reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to completing deliveries on time.

Ability to work early morning hours and adapt to changing schedules or delivery routes as needed.
