FreshLunches Production Lead-Cold Lead

JOB SUMMARY: As a Production Lead you will coordinate the activities of workers engaged in the production of

portion control products and other similar food products by performing the following duties. This is an hourly position in

the Production department with limited supervisory responsibilities for up to 8 hourly workers. This position reports directly to

the Chef and all problems and concerns related to the job duties must be communicated and reported directly to the Chef. The

Production Lead will rotate through all areas of production ranging from: Pulling Supply, Assembling or Filling

Production Line and Packaging.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Assembling/Filling Production Line:

 Follow standardized recipes and assembly instructions to prepare food items according to FreshLunches

standards.

 Ensures cleanliness and organization of workstations and equipment.

 Monitor product quality and freshness throughout the production process.

 Rework meals that do not conform to weight, count, and quality specifications.

 Affix labels, and other exterior details to products.

 Prepare ingredients by following recipes - slicing, cutting, chopping, mincing, stirring, whipping, and mixing

ingredients; adding seasonings; verifying taste; and plating meals.

2. Packaging:

 Package finished products according to packaging specifications and labeling requirements.

 Ensure proper sealing, labeling, and dating of packaged items.

 Conduct quality checks on packaged products to verify integrity and safety.

3. Quality and Safety Compliance:

 Follow food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and hygiene practices at all times; maintain temperature

logs as required; maintain appropriate dating, labeling, and rotation of all food items.

 Conduct quality control measures, including temperature monitoring and product inspections.

 Report any food safety or quality issues to supervisors promptly.

 Monitor equipment to ensure that products are being assembled properly.

4. Team Collaboration:

 Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.

 Delegate effectively with team members regarding production needs, challenges, and solutions.

 Ensure that high standard of personal hygiene is kept, uniform is clean and are well groomed at all times.

 Promote and comply with all policies and procedures of FreshLunches.

 Practice safe work habits at all times, to avoid injury to self and others.

 Perform other tasks as assigned by Management.

5. Leadership:

 Oversee and coordinate the activities of hourly production workers, ensuring and tasks are completed

efficiently and accurately.

 Provide guidance, training, coaching and feedback to production team members.

 Monitor workflow, productivity, and quality of work, making necessary adjustments as needed to ensure

optimal performance.

 Work with Management Team to analyze and resolve work problems, or assists workers in solving work

problems.

ENVIRONMENT: Warehouse setting, requiring physical labor and use of protective gear as necessary. Some overtime might be

required during peak seasons.
