Position Overview:

The Los Angeles Tennis Club is seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Front Desk Team Member. As a vital member of our club, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our members and guests, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk, and managing tennis court reservations efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Greeting and Customer Service:

Welcome members and guests warmly and provide a friendly, professional demeanor.

Address inquiries and provide information about club facilities, programs, and services.

Assist members with membership inquiries, registrations, and general account management.

2. Tennis Court Reservations:

Manage the club's tennis court reservation system efficiently and accurately.

Accept reservations in person, via phone, or through online platforms, ensuring a seamless booking process.

Assist members in finding suitable playing times, coordinating with other players, and resolving scheduling conflicts.

3. Membership Check-in:

Ensure proper check-in procedures for all members and guests entering the club.

Verify membership status and charge guest fees, if applicable.

Monitor entry and exit to the club facilities, including vendors, receiving deliveries, etc.

4. Point-of-Sale:

Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to process transactions for club merchandise, snacks, and other services.

5. Facility Management:

Monitor the lobby and ensure it remains clean, organized, and presentable at all times.

Monitor parking lot for tandem parking management.

Restock supplies such as coffee, tea, magazines, brochures, and other amenities as needed.

Assist in coordinating maintenance requests for any equipment or facility issues.

Collect, sort, distribute and prepare mail, messages, and courier deliveries.

6. Phone and Email Communication:

Answer phone calls promptly and direct inquiries to the appropriate department or personnel.

Respond to email inquiries and provide timely and helpful information to members and guests.

7. Club Promotion:

Assist in promoting club activities, events, and membership benefits to current and prospective members.

Distribute promotional materials and keep the bulletin boards up to date.

Note: The specific duties related to member check-in may vary depending on the club's policies and procedures. The Front Desk Team Member will be expected to stay updated on club rules and guidelines and handle member check-in with professionalism and efficiency. Additionally, the Front Desk Team Member may be required to assist with other tasks and projects as assigned by the club management.

Qualifications:

Previous Front Desk or Reception experience is preferred but not required.

Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.

Good communication skills, friendly demeanor, and a positive attitude.

Availability to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Working Conditions:

This position requires sitting for extended periods in front of a computer screen and performing repetitive tasks such as typing and clicking with a mouse.
