Munchies Hookah is looking for a server to join our team. We are located in Tujunga,CA. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, motivated, and engaged.
Responsibilities
A hookah server, also known as a hookah attendant or shisha server, is responsible for setting up and maintaining hookahs (water pipes used for smoking flavored tobacco) for customers in a hookah lounge or restaurant. Their specific responsibilities may include:
Setting up hookahs with the proper equipment and accessories, such as hoses, bowls, and coals
Preparing and flavoring the tobacco for the hookahs
Cleaning and maintaining the hookahs and equipment
Assisting customers in selecting flavors and types of tobacco
Providing instructions on how to use the hookahs
Monitoring customers' use of the hookahs to ensure safety and compliance with laws and regulations
Providing excellent customer service to ensure customer satisfaction
Following all health and safety guidelines and procedures
Maintaining inventory of hookah supplies and restocking as needed
Handling cash and credit card transactions
Additionally, hookah servers may also be responsible for other tasks such as general cleaning and maintenance of the lounge, assisting with event planning and setup, and providing a welcoming atmosphere for customers.
Emptying all trash cans.
Restock supplies such as soap, hand towels, and toilet paper.
Sanitize the sensitive bathroom areas.
Disinfect all surfaces using a disinfectant.
Vacuum or sweep the washrooms to pick extra dirt.
Mop the floor to make it clean and remove puddles.
Must be able to lift 40 lbs. Must be able to multi-task
Qualifications
Ability to listen and communicate effectively
Ability to multitask efficiently
Strong organizational skills
Experience as a Server, Waitstaff or Customer Service a plus
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Salary: $17-TBD
Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
