Stanley's Wet Goods is hiring for the Garde Manger (GM) position.
The Garde Manger (GM) is primarily responsible for preparing for Sunday morning service and executing dine-in food orders from our brunch and lunch menu, which includes sandwiches, cheese + charcuterie boards, salads, and brunch shared plates. Other duties include prep of ingredients for dinner service. We are willing to train the right candidate, provided they have strong attention to detail and can move quickly, but some kitchen experience is preferred. Our kitchen is small so you must be able to work well alone, executing a high volume of orders to spec in a short period of time.
Responsibilities:
Prepare our kitchen area for service, including setup and food prep
Follow menu instructions in preparation of dishes
Fulfill pars and communicate with other team members on low or out of stock items
Communicating and collaborating with kitchen manager + other kitchen staff members
Clean and close down kitchen at the end of shift
Requirements:
Strong knife skills
Prior kitchen experience highly preferred
We are hiring for one shift per week currently, Sunday mornings, additional shifts are likely to arise as fill-ins and needed as our daytime menu grows.
