Job description

Legendary Deli Nate'n Al's seeks an experienced Line Cook to join our team! To apply, please send us a resume and a brief introduction.

Responsibilities include:

Setting up workstations with required ingredients and equipment

Checking the quality and freshness of ingredients

Cooking menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff

Preparing food including cleaning and cutting the ingredients

Following recipes, including measuring, weighing, cutting, and mixing ingredients

Working with management and servers to ensure that orders are completed according to request and on time

Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment, and dishes

Ensuring that the kitchen operation procedures and hygiene meet food safety standards and regulations.

Candidates should have the following qualifications:

At least two years of cooking experience

Excellent kitchen administration knowledge i.e. prep lists, waste logs, line checks and temperature logs and ability to work as part of a team

Strong organization and active listening skills

The ability to work on your feet for most of the day and lift 30 pounds at a time

Exceptional time management skills

Knowledge of safety procedures, including safe temperatures at which ingredients must be kept and to which food must be prepared to avoid foodborne illness

Calm demeanor to work in a high-stress, fast-paced environment

Comprehension and organization to follow direct orders and recipes and to correctly prepare dishes to the standards of the restaurant

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
