Salt and Tart is a quick service restaurant in Santa Monica looking for an experienced Line Cook. Someone who is fast, clean, organized and responsible.
Responsibilities
Prepare food for service
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow Executive Chef’s instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes of high quality and in a timely fashion
Prepare food in compliance with health and safety standards
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Skills
Proven cooking experience, including 2 years prior experience as a line cook, restaurant cook or prep cook
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Practices correct food handling and food storage procedures according to company and state regulations.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Willingness to learn and be open minded
Full-time/Part-time to start
