Position: Kitchen Staff
Shift: Full-Time (preferred), Part-Time
Job Description:
JINCOOK LITTLE TOKYO kitchen is in search of skilled team members to join our dynamic kitchen staff + dishwasher. As a vital part of our team, you will contribute to the efficient and effective operation of our restaurant. Adaptability and a willingness to contribute across various kitchen tasks are essential for success in this role.
Kitchen Staff Responsibilities:
-Clean and sanitize dishes, cookware, and utensils
-Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of food preparation work stations
-Assist in the food preparation process, including cutting, chopping, slicing, and washing vegetables, meats, and other
ingredients
-Able to cook in the line using fryer, charbroil, stove for frying, boiling, stir-frying, grilling, etc.
-Adhere to all food health and safety requirements
-Assist with the unloading of deliveries and ensure proper storage
-Communicate kitchen needs to supervisors
-Interact with customers as needed
Kitchen Staff Skills and Qualifications:
-Food handler’s license
-High school diploma or GED preferred
-Previous restaurant experience is advantageous
-Physical ability to stand for an entire shift and lift 50+ pounds
-Willingness to work weekends and nights
-Strong teamwork and communication skills
-Existing knowledge of food safety procedures is preferred
