Job Summary:
The Line Cook l will provide and maintain high quality standards and procedures in preparing and serving all restaurant's food while keeping the kitchen clean, safe and a sanitary environment in which to work.
Duties and Responsibilities:
● Practice OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
● Preparation of all cold items to include, but not limited to, salads, dressings, garnishes, and the plating of desserts
● Preparation of vegetable, fruits, proteins, and other foods as assigned for daily operations and banquet events
● Ensure daily AM/PM shift closing checklists are completed and submitted before leaving shift
● Maintain solid knowledge of all food products, sanitation standards, and all policies / procedures and is able to skillfully apply culinary techniques
● May bone and clean shellfish, cut, trim or grind meats, fish or poultry
● Work as a team and effectively communicate with management, chefs, and service staff in order to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or employees
● Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
● Ensure all food and other items are stored properly
● Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines
● Cleans kitchen equipment
● Perform other duties as assigned
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 29 per week
