Our Pastry Cook is responsible for all things cake, pastry, and cookie in our Bakery/Café.
We are a full line bakery and restaurant. We LOVE food and LOVE making it. We are a happy team environment and are looking for a happy team member.
Everything is made from scratch and by hand so candidate NEEDS to know how to make Genoise from scratch, how to ice cakes, decorate cakes, make large and individual tarts and cheesecakes, angel food cakes, small ganache cakes, brownies, bars, cupcakes big and small, how to fold mousses, make chocolate truffles, make and bake cookies, work with pate a choux, puff, and the like.

Candidate must have at least TWO years of experience in a commercial BAKERY.

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Able to be on your feet for at least 4 straight hours.
Must move quickly and with a sense of urgency.
Must be organized and careful.
Must be able to do basic math (lots of math in baking)
Must be able to follow recipes and directions exactly.
Must have pretty decorating skills.
MUST HAVE A PASSION FOR PASTRY
Must be able to speak with customers regarding custom designs or just for any special pastry order.
Must be able to effectively communicate in Spanish.
Must have a current food handler’s certificate.
This is a full time position Tuesday thru Saturday. Flexible on times, but start no later than 9am.
