Established San Franciscan restaurant, the Presidio Social Club (PSC), has an immediate opening for Special Events Sales Manager. PSC serves upscale American comfort food and has a loyal following of locals and visitors to the beautiful Presidio National Park.

PSC is a popular destination for all types of events year round. Events manager has the opportunity to expand this into other areas such as off-site catering and the functions at our partnered venue also in the Presidio.
You will be closely supported by ownership, the Director of Operations, General Manager, Chefs, and a part time events assistant who will help with initial inquiries and who works the events.
The PSC brand is strong both as a restaurant and venue. We are actively listed on most online venue guides. A good place to look is the user/customer generated posts on platforms such as Instagram and Pinterest.
Special events opportunities range from:
Small Group intimate (private/semi-private) family and social get-togethers (15-20pax)
Mid-sized Corporate/Social functions in our Private Dining Room and Patio (2080pax)
Large Scale Full Restaurant Buy-outs, both sit down or reception style (80-150pax)
House Promotional and Ticketed Events
Off-site Catering at our partnered venue, the Palm Room at the San Francisco Film Center (150 seat capacity)
Marketing Events and Opportunities
Candidate must have experience as a high volume restaurant manager. Fine dining and banquet experience required. Position will have a team of dedicated FOH and BOH managers and chefs to support you.
Primary Responsibilities:
Restaurant operational knowledge
Knowledge of brand, property and location
Learn and execute PSCs cycle of events sales and management
Communications with guests, potential guests and in-house team
Sales of Special Events
Product, product flexibility and the ability to customize orders
Be an upstanding team player and a vital part of the restaurants management team
Technical Requirements:
Excellent language and communications skills
Vigilant and responsive to all inquiries (email, phone, walk-in, referrals, etc)
Proficient, courteous and excellent email etiquette
Writing, transposing and detailing of BEOs and production communications
Proficient in house POS (Aloha), Events Software (Tripleseat), Email, Calendars, Web Calendars, in house graphics (Menu Printing), and general office IT needs for the department
Financial and Accounting: Sales, Deposits, Closing of Checks, Service Charges, Budgeting, Forecasting
Personnel: will manage events staff schedule as needed with support from FOH management team
Hospitality and Management Requirements:
Be able to direct and manage event servers and support staff
Cycle of service per restaurant standards
Excellent Food and Beverage knowledge
Dedicated to work closely with Executive Chef, Pastry Chef and Beverage Manager on all events
Hold and attend mandatory weekly manager meetings and BEO meetings
Ability to think and act on the fly in challenging situations
Execute great hospitality
Execution of Events
Communication with guests to provide great service
Meet and greet guests, walk-throughs, floorplans, time-lines
Create, review and update BEOs as needed
Be on-site for events as needed or required
Be off-site for events as needed or required
Provide excellent directions and instructions to team
Close events, payments and sales
Compensation and Benefits
On site: Base Salary + percentage of events sales (service charges)
Off site: Events manager pay for non-PSC based events
