Market Venice is looking to add a sous chef to our team! Tucked under the arches in one of the oldest buildings in Venice, on one of the most historic streets in the city, you find Market — a modern Italian restaurant. The plates are a fresh twist on Italian cuisine, designed to be shared European family-style.
Outside of the obvious cooking skills needed; great palette, knife skills, safety consciousness, butchering of whole animals and fresh pasta making, we are looking for a candidate:
Spearhead weekly inventory.
Comfortable with all types of ordering.
Self-motivated with a natural ability to lead.
Thorough understanding of financial acumen.
Great time management.
Willingness to learn and grow.
Committed to maintaining a positive and collaborative kitchen culture.
Is level headed and composed. No yelling or belittling of anyone on the team.
Effectively leads by demonstrating a professional approach with coworkers through great leadership skills, ethics, and team development.
With minimum 2 years experience as a Sous Chef in a similar environment.

5 days/week set schedule
50% contribution towards medical.

70-75k / year salary depending on canidate
