We are seeking a Sushi Chef to join our team! You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and dedicate time to expanding our clientele base to establish the sushi bar’s brand and reputation. WILL NEED WEEKEND AVAILABILITY and 1-2 WEEKDAYS.

Responsibilities:

Make 60+ sushi rolls daily to fill cooler case

fulfill food delivery orders on DoorDash, Uber eats in a timely manner

Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients

Prepare ingredients for sushi rolls

Kitchenware cleaning, dishwashing, cooking rice, cutting fish, sharpening knives, prepare/cut veggies, prepare wasabi, spicy tuna, crab salad etc.

Adhere to food safety handling requirements at all times for sushi

Labeling and packaging sushi

Inventory management

Logging food safety processes

Qualifications:

1-2+ years Previous chef experience in restaurant, Japanese restaurant preferred

Servesafe food handler manager license required

Fast learner

Ability to make aesthetically pleasing sushi rolls with CORRECT ingredients and learn new promotional items on a regular basis

Inventory management, food safety logging

Ability to stand for long periods of time

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
