Job Type: Front Desk Innkeeper (part time)

We are seeking another team member for our close knit team of innkeeping staff at a Bed & Breakfast in Venice Beach.
We are a beautiful historic house with a garden and old fashioned feeling.
The ideal candidate is adaptable, empathetic, friendly, and naturally enjoys hosting and taking pride in a beautiful environment while also being independent and able to manage time to complete shift tasks.
Hours of operation are 7am-7pm. Team members have the same shifts every week. Coverage can be requested.
This is a part time, year-round ongoing position.
Qualifications:
Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest relations.
Experience in hotel management and guest services.
Familiarity with front desk operations.
Ability to handle multi-line phone systems with proper phone etiquette.
Can work weekends.

Work description:
AM Shift:
This position consists mainly (not limited to) ensuring breakfast elements are presented according to guidelines, while being attentive to guests. Innkeeping is constantly busy, completing side-work, maintaining table & breakfast nook appearance, refilling waters, juices & restocking breakfast items as needed.
This employee greets every guest with a friendly “Good Morning” & checks in to be sure that they have everything they need in their rooms. This position answers any guests questions regarding things to do in the area, & recommends food options.
You are the first staff member that a guest will see in their day, it’s important to make a positive impact!
This position also includes some maintenance of the outdoor common areas, and must be knowledgeable of our booking software in order to answer the phone, check availability, make reservations, complete checkouts, and email/print a guests folio upon request.
The AM shift will also assist with some basic housekeeping and perimeter checks for trash. The AM shift will provide quality customer service, learn breakfast presentation, follow any recipes needed for the kitchen, and maintain a neat and tidy appearance that adheres to guidelines.
PM Shift:
This position consists mainly (not limited to) welcoming guests to the house, executing check-in and late check-in procedures, taking payments, knowledge of booking engines, ensuring that guests are satisfied, and providing basic hospitality. The PM innkeeper is busy throughout the shift assisting guests, completing side-work, maining the tea station, walking the house & completing housekeeping inspections.
This position requires returning emails/voicemails and answering the phone. This position is able to answer any guests questions regarding things to do in the area, recommend food options, & can handle special requests.
The PM shift takes pride in the tidiness and appearance of lobby and stairwell cleanliness. You are usually the first person a guest will see upon their stay, so it is important to make them feel warm and welcomed. The PM shift will provide exceptional customer service, resolve guest complaints, follow any recipes/prep needed for the AM shift breakfast, and maintain a neat and tidy appearance that adheres to guidelines.
