Job description:
Assist with personal hygiene before bed including prep for brushing teeth and washing face + applying lotion. Tommy brushes his own teeth, uses a hot towel to wash face, then applies the lotion. You are in charge of the prepping and he does the rest.
Assist with transferring onto bed with overhead ceiling lift. Including light lifting -the ceiling lift does the hard work. When Tommy is in the lift you will undress him. After he gets on the bed, you will take off his shirt. (Keep in mind you will have proper training. We have a great system in place.)
After Tommy gets prepared and ready for bed, you will go to your own room + tv until 3:00am.
At 3:00am you will go into Tommy’s room and fully assist turning him on his side for 1.5 hours then come back in the room and lay him on his back for 45min then back on his right side until 6:30am.
If Tommy needs anything he will ring the bell that connects to the caregiver room so you know he needs your help.
We are confident in the systems that are in place to make your job go as smooth as possible and we will train you until you feel comfortable. We are looking forward to meeting you.
