Job Narrative: Caregiver for Non-Walking and Diabetic Patient
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated caregiver to provide essential support for a non-walking, diabetic patient in need of daily assistance. This position plays a critical role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of the patient during their recovery journey.
Position Overview:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM
- Location: Los Angeles near KIA forum 90047 zip code closer to Ingelwood.
- Compensation: Paid through the In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) state program
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities, including bed baths and hygiene care.
- Support the patient with the use of a bedpan, ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Monitor blood sugar levels and assist with diabetes management as needed.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the patient’s quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the patient.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers and family members regarding the patient's needs and progress.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in caregiving, particularly with non-walking or diabetic patients, is preferred.
- Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting as required by state regulations.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a caring and patient demeanor.
- Ability to follow instructions and provide care with attention to detail.
