Caregiver – BOARDING CARE
Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide daily living assistance and support to residents in our Boarding Care. The ideal candidate will have a genuine desire to help others maintain their independence and dignity while ensuring their safety and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
Personal Care Assistance
Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
Support mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Help with medication reminders as directed by nursing staff
Monitor and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition
Daily Living Support
Provide companionship and emotional support to residents
Assist with meal preparation and feeding when necessary
Help maintain clean and organized living spaces
Encourage participation in social activities and programs
Accompany residents to appointments and activities as needed
Safety and Documentation
Follow all facility policies and procedures regarding resident care
Maintain accurate records of care provided and observations
Ensure resident safety by identifying and reporting potential hazards
Respond appropriately to emergency situations
Required Qualifications
Previous experience in caregiving, healthcare, or related field preferred
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with resident transfers
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
Manual dexterity to assist with personal care tasks
Clear vision and hearing to monitor residents effectively
Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
