Qualifications
MINIMUM 3 years of experience working in the medical billing field
Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/HMO/PPO
Knowledge of the basics such as: reading and posting EOBs
Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
Experienced in the use of Medical billing systems/EMR
Knowledge of ICD-10 and HCPCS coding
Knowledge of Workers compensation
Ability to work independently
Must be extremely organized and dependable
Must have experience with all lines of business, Medicare, Medi-Cal, and Commercial claims and know industry guidelines
Responsible for submitting and tracking claims, resolving billing errors, and communicating with insurance companies.
