Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant/DA to join our pediatric dental team. The ideal candidate will assist in providing top-notch patient care, support the dentist during procedures, and help ensure smooth clinic operations. Knowledge of dental terminology, practices, and excellent communication skills are essential. Our practice uses OPEN DENTAL software.
Duties:
Perform coronal polishing and apply topical fluoride.
Capture orthodontic photos for patient records.
Support the dentist during exams and procedures with four-handed dentistry.
Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and ensure supplies are stocked.
Take and process digital and film X-rays as directed.
Accurately maintain patient records and medical documentation.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
Follow infection control protocols to ensure safety.
Monitor vital signs as needed during procedures.
Qualifications:
Experience as a Registered Dental Assistant or in a similar dental role preferred.
Strong understanding of dental terminology and infection control.
Experience in medical documentation and record keeping.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Certification in dental assisting required.
