Job description

Private PPO Dental Office seeking a positive Dental Assistant who is professional, a team player, and enjoys providing quality oral healthcare to patients.

You would be performing a range of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure smooth dental operations.

Key Responsibilities include:

-Greet Patients when they sign in and monitor arrival time

-Escort patients to treatment room

-Assist dentists during general procedures and dental procedures by preparing treatment rooms, sterilizing instruments, passing necessary tools and materials to the dentist, organizing trays, and drawers, as well as anticipating any other needs of the dentist.

-Take and develop dental X-rays as per dentist's instructions, ensuring patient comfort and safety.

-Prepare and maintain dental instruments, equipment, and supplies for use in treatments.

-Provide coronal polishing and chairside assistance to dentists during procedures, anticipating their needs and ensuring efficient workflow. (1+ years)

-Prepare and deliver dental materials such as fillings, crowns, and impressions.

-Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.

-Schedule and manage patient appointments, maintaining accurate records of treatments and procedures.

-Perform basic laboratory duties, including processing and pouring dental impressions, fabricating temporary crowns, and constructing models.

-Maintain a clean and organized dental environment, adhering to infection control protocols and safety standards.

-Handle administrative tasks, such as managing patient records, billing, and coordinating referrals.

Requirements:

-High school diploma or equivalent.

-Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant experience.

-Proficiency in dental terminology, instruments, and procedures.

-Knowledge of Oral Surgery and infection control protocols and sterilization techniques.

-Ability to take accurate dental X-rays and maintain digital records.

-Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and dental team members.

-Attention to detail and organizational abilities for managing patient records and scheduling.

-Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and assist in patient positioning.

-Familiarity with dental software and computer skills for administrative tasks.

-Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings or weekends if required.

-Open Dental: 1 year (Preferred)
