Day/Hours: M-F; 8AM to 5PM

Position Overview:
As a Dental Billing and Coding Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our billing processes. You will be responsible for accurately coding dental procedures, submitting claims to insurance companies, and managing patient accounts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of dental terminology, insurance regulations, and coding practices, along with excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
Review and accurately code dental procedures using CDT codes.
Submit insurance claims electronically or by mail, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Verify insurance coverage and benefits for patients.
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and resubmit as necessary.
Process patient payments and reconcile accounts receivable.
Assist patients with insurance-related inquiries and billing issues.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding updates, insurance regulations, and billing practices.
Collaborate with the dental team to ensure proper documentation and coding of procedures.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in dental billing and coding.
Proficiency in dental coding systems and dental software (e.g., Open Dental & DentalXChange).
Strong understanding of dental terminology, procedures, and insurance regulations.
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification preferred but not required.
