Hello! I am a 40-year-old disabled woman seeking caregivers to join my team for a few shifts. I am paralyzed from the chest down, have use of my arms but need help with tasks that require good hand function. I transfer between bed and wheelchair using a sliding board and can do most of the transfer myself (I weigh 100lbs), needing help only to move my legs. No heavy lifting is required. The shifts I have available are:
Morning shift (Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday available):
- 2-3 hours starting sometime around 8am
- Job duties include: assisting transfer from bed to wheelchair, changing urine collection bag, dressing, meal prep., light housekeeping.
I am looking for people who are reliable and compassionate. Previous experience assisting people with disabilities/ any certifications are a plus but not required. All of my caregivers have learned the skills and techniques necessary with me without difficulty even if they had no prior experience working with people with disabilities. I am at high risk for serious disease from COVID-19 so I am looking for people who are vaccinated and are willing to wear a KN 95 mask (I will provide).
