Two licensed hospice agencies under the same ownership are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Chart Auditor to support clinical documentation review and Medicare billing compliance. This is a contractor role (1099) with a standard Monday–Friday schedule and some in-person meetings as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct QA audits of clinical charts to ensure Medicare compliance and documentation accuracy
Submit regular QA reports summarizing findings and recommendations
Identify documentation gaps or billing risks affecting reimbursement
Assist with staff coaching during RCM (Revenue Cycle Management) meetings
Support billing processes by ensuring documentation supports clean, timely claims
Attend weekly virtual performance meetings and periodic onsite sessions
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of hospice documentation auditing or QA experience
Strong understanding of Medicare hospice billing guidelines
Experience using HospiceMD software (preferred)
Knowledge of ICD-10 coding and billing compliance
RN or LVN license preferred but not required
