We are seeking a compassionate and responsible live-in caretaker to provide assistance and companionship to our Mom Pat, age 80, in the comfort of her own home. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to improving the quality of life for Pat and ensuring her safety and well-being at all times.
Our home is on 28th Street and Highland Avenue and quite large. You would have your own room, bathroom on the ground floor of the house. You would have access to all areas of the house. Our hope is to find someone who wants to live in a beautiful, serene home right by the Beach and also wants to support our Mom as she ages with Dementia.
Responsibilities:
-Assisting with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication reminders, personal hygiene, and light housekeeping
-Providing companionship and emotional support through conversation, activities, and outings
-Monitoring and addressing any health concerns or changes in the client's condition
-Accompanying the client to medical appointments and other necessary outings
-Ensuring a clean and comfortable living environment for the client
-Communicating effectively with family members and healthcare professionals as needed
Qualifications:
-Prior experience in caregiving, preferably with elderly individuals and those experiencing Dementia
-Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in the well-being of others
-Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
-Good communication skills and the ability to work independently
-Must be willing to live in the client's home and provide care on a full-time basis
This would be a full-time paid position in addition to room and board. Our goal is to find the right person and we are willing to pay at the most competitive rate.
