Immediate opening for female LVN to work (along with a female caregiver) for a really nice 34 year old 6 foot 1", slim young man who was originally just learning disabled. He suffered anoxic brain injury and was brought back to life and now is in a wheelchair/has difficulty speaking clearly (but can communicate well).
Looking for happy, upbeat, positive, honest, responsible person for two 12 hour highly desirable shifts on Wednesdays and Fridays from 7am-7pm. You will be working with a caregiver which is nice. Some duties are: help with transferring (so no bad backs please), help with feeding meals (but he can feed himself), range of motion, maybe some driving along with a caregiver to appointments/therapies in client's van. Looking for permanent, long term staff (nothing less than a year), since his condition will always need helpso the longer the better. Currently, client has spa therapy 3X a week in Simi Valley and also likes to go out to parks/mall/beach/do fun stuff.
Home is large, clean, lovely ranch style home in Newhall which is in Santa Clarita. The home is freeway close- just a few miles from the 5 or the 14 fwys. Must be ok with dogs too.
Shifts that are available (full time) are 7AM-7PM Wednesdays and Fridays. Paid through an agency $360 per day.
