Bixby Knolls Oral Surgery is looking to hire a part time surgical assistant with knowledge of general anesthesia and quality patient care. Hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays 8AM – 4PM. We are looking for an energetic, team player to join our busy office in Long Beach.
Duties:
-Assist the doctors alongside other assistants during surgeries including wisdom teeth extractions, implants, etc.
-Seating patients, tray set-up, taking x-rays and CT scans.
-Maintain, clean and organized operatory rooms, and manage inventory of surgical instruments.
-Monitor patients' vitals and explain post-operative instructions.
Qualifications:
-Experience in an oral surgery office, highly preferred.
-Current CPR required.
-X-ray Certification required.
-Completion of OMSA course, preferred.
-Familiar with OSHA guidelines and regulations
-Organized, responsible, hardworking individual with excellent communication skills.
-Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
