Seeking a part-time home care assistant to help care for my 70-year-old wife who has dementia but is otherwise in good health. I normally take care of her full time but need a back-up when I run errands. The schedule is flexible and may change over time as her needs change. I plan to start out at two hours a day two or three days a week.
I am looking for a kind, friendly, patient, and trustworthy person who has experience with caring for elderly dementia patients and who gets along well with my wife. The primary job duty is to be her companion and keep her safe and happy.
She walks with some difficulty and may need a little help with personal hygiene and dressing. Housekeeping is not required, but you may need to prepare a simple meal for her and clean up afterwards.
Our home is in Winnetka 91306. Rate of pay $25 per hour.
