We have a family member and need that as mental difficulties and needs a caseworker / social worker with experience to help her identify her Social Security (SSI/SSDI),Healthcare, Insurance Benefits, General Relief, Food Stamps, Retirement Benefits, housing and other health programs. Help with driving to appointments, waiting on hold to get the appropriate departments, help with social and mental support.
Advocate for her regarding housing, food security, and other social determinants of health.
Provide coaching and social support, recovery services for mental health.
This is a part-time position of no more than 10 to 15 hours per week depending on the circumstances. Must have experience obtaining these benefits for other patience and will check references.
Qualifications
Critical Skills and Aptitudes
Good on the phone, reporting to the family
Must have a computer, know how to create and manage logins
Read and understand materials
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent. College-level coursework in social sciences, public health, education, or related fields is preferred but not required.
One (1) year experience or more
Access to internet/Wifi.
Reliable transportation.
License
Valid State Driver’s License
Community Health Worker certificate, preferred.
