The IHSS Caregiver position is a part-time role focused on providing essential care to a paralyzed male patient during weekend mornings. The caregiver will be responsible for performing specific caregiving tasks, ensuring the patient's comfort and well-being, and following established routines. This position requires a reliable individual with experience in caregiving and the ability to use specialized equipment such as a Hoyer lift.
Responsibilities
Provide patient care during weekend mornings and nights from 8am to 12pm on Saturdays and Sundays and 6pm-10pm Saturday and Sunday nights and Thursday night 6pm-10pm
Use a Manual Hoyer lift for patient transfers between bed and wheelchair.
Assist with dressing the patient, including putting on compression socks.
Assist with toileting,showering, and stretching routine.
Perform general clean up and laundry.
