Social Vocational Services (SVS) is an innovative day program that serves adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our mission is to provide training & support necessary for those who participate in the services to achieve their social, recreational, vocational & residential goals.
Position Purpose: Is responsible for assisting in the planning, development and implementation of all personnel and payroll operations within an assigned SVS division.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Issue employee numbers
Create and maintain hard copy personnel files for all Social Vocational Services, Inc., staff in designated region; breakdown terminated employees’ files (merging corporate and field files); purging terminated employee files as needed.
Input and maintain all employee information in the computerized Human Resources/Payroll system.
Working closely with Program Directors, Regional Directors and Department Directors, prepare, send, and track all staff evaluations, Masterfile Changes for automatic salary increases, etc.
Provide input to supervisory staff on subjects relating to personnel files; may interpret general employment policy issues.
In some regions may run various payroll and personnel reports as needed.
In some regions may occasionally serve as Payroll and Workers’ Compensation Coordinator back-up.
In some regions may assign and coordinate tasks given to Personnel Assistant
Advertise job openings and send weekly job postings to all program offices;
Open and distribute Human Resources’ mail daily
Verify employment
Work with HR team on special projects
All other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director or Management

Education and Work Experience: Bachelor’s degree with one-year Human Resource experience preferred. Requires the ability to work independently, organize work without close supervision; ability to establish effective work relationships with managers, employees, and third parties; ability to gather facts and prepare reports; ability to analyze situations accurately and make appropriate decisions.
Criminal Record Clearance: Must obtain and maintain a Department of Justice/FBI fingerprint clearance.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
