Cradled in the rolling bluffs lies the Beach Club, where members have enjoyed their own piece of the Pacific seashore paradise since 1927. The sweeping panoramas of the sparkling Pacific greet from every corner as Jonathans enjoy a wide variety of sports and fitness activities, year-round family events and dining on the beach. Members sink their toes into the warm silky sand, marvel at the expanse of the cerulean and azure waves, relish the sounds of their children's laughter and antics and simply surrender to the harmony of the atmosphere.
The Facility Assistant Manager will assist the Facility Manager to maintain Jonathan Club standards in our facilities at Santa Monica Beach Club as well as managing and supporting daily supervisory duties for the department.
The Assistant Facilities Manager position is responsible for the following:
Manage and maintain inventories of departmental supplies in the housekeeping and event services, members’ amenities, furniture, and equipment.
Execute and coordinate the setup and cleanup of all events
Perform bi-annual inventory audits
Monitor staff shifts based on business needs and event schedules
Ensure safety protocols are consistently followed within the department
Perform regular property walks and coordinate repairs with Engineer Department
Act in the absence of the Facility Manager
May assist with other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
3 to 5 years of experience as a Banquet Houseperson Supervisor, or Facility Maintenance Lead from preferably hotels and/or private clubs
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required
Must be available to work on weekends and holidays
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent
