IF YOU ARE A GOOD AND COMPETENT MECHANIC APPLY
You will mainly be working alongside my other techs and perform as a manager over them. They are experts in the field so should not be too hard.
Diagnostic and Repair Work:
-Inspect and test vehicles using diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems and determine the extent of repairs needed.
-Perform repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other vehicle components.
-Replace worn or defective parts using hand and power tools.
Maintenance Services:
-Conduct routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
-Perform safety inspections and emissions tests.
Customer Service:
-Communicate with customers to explain vehicle issues and recommended repairs.
-Provide estimates for repair costs and timeframes.
Record Keeping:
-Document all repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed on vehicles.
-Maintain accurate records of parts used and labor hours.
Staying Updated:
-Keep up-to-date with new automotive technologies, repair techniques, and safety standards.
-Key Skills and Qualifications
Technical Knowledge:
-Strong understanding of automotive systems, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and electrical systems.
-Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, equipment, and repair manuals.
Problem-Solving Skills:
-Ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues and determine effective solutions.
Manual Dexterity:
-Skillful use of hand tools and equipment to perform precise repairs and adjustments.
Attention to Detail:
-Careful inspection and diagnosis of vehicle components to ensure accurate and thorough repairs.
Communication Skills:
-Ability to explain technical issues to customers in a clear and understandable manner.
-Good interpersonal skills for customer interactions and team collaboration.
Physical Stamina:
-Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy parts and working in uncomfortable positions.
Time Management:
-Efficiently manage time to complete repairs within estimated timelines.
Certifications and Licenses (preferred or required):
-Certification from the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is highly valued.
-A valid driver's license
