(LA County and Orange County)
We are looking for Construction Skilled Laborers who have acquired the necessary skills and training to complete building and construction-related jobs. Your duties differ depending on the task at hand, but some responsibilities include painting, drilling, flooring installations, and plumbing and electrical tasks. Duties may also include different types of manual labor as assigned.
Eligibility
To be successful as a Construction Skilled Laborer, you will have completed apprenticeships and acquired suitable skills. An outstanding skilled laborer should be hungry to expand their skill set and increase their level of expertise. You should also be willing to learn from other crew members and be open to receiving off-site training when possible.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Moving materials to the worksite and ensuring all tools, machinery, and other equipment are safely set up.
Operating equipment like drills, pneumatic hammers, shovels, pikes, and other heavy machinery.
Assisting with various electrical and plumbing installation procedures.
Adhering health and safety codes, as well as the company's principles.
Removing hazardous materials from sites.
Spreading gravel, asphalt, and other materials over surfaces.
Performing site and equipment inspections.
Attending meetings and workshops.
Completing on-the-job training.
Ensuring tasks are completed to deadlines.
Other tasks as assigned.
Your Impact

Good communication skills (Verbal and Written).
Essential Skills (MUST HAVE)
Proven experience in construction (4-8 years preferred).
Knowledge of tools, equipment, and safety practices in construction.
Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings.
Physical stamina and strength to handle labor-intensive work.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Qualifications
OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
Forklift or heavy machinery/equipment certification.
Specific trade skills (e.g., concrete, framing-wood and metal, drywall, masonry, etc.).
Experience of commercial or residential job sites.
Tech-savvy with jobsite software or mobile apps (if applicable).
Other Physical Requirements
Besides lifting, construction laborers often need to:
Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Climb ladders or scaffold while carrying materials.
Work in all weather conditions.
Stand or walk for extended periods.
Construction laborers are usually expected to lift and carry at least 50 pounds (22.7 kg) frequently.
