Facilities Manager
The Facilities Manager oversees and supports the overall operations of Bel Air Church by ensuring the proper and efficient functioning of the buildings, grounds, and systems of the physical campus, in a clean, safe, organized and welcoming working environment. This position supervises the custodial team and reports to the Head of Campus Services.
Qualifications:
Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; Five years of previous related experience in facilities/venue management; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bilingual: English / Spanish preferred.
Operational Skills: Experience in mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.
Computer Skills: Demonstrates computer literacy, with ability to learn and adapt to new applications and systems.
Reasoning Capabilities: Ability to recognize areas of opportunity and efficiently resolve any problems, using sound judgement and critical thinking.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Areas of Responsibility
Management: 80%
Manages all Church physical facilities to include daily maintenance, building infrastructure upkeep, security and systems, fire, life and safety, walkie-talkie (PBX) communications systems, HVAC systems, transportation and parking, landscaping services, etc.
Provides Sunday Worship Service support to include special preparation needed prior to Sundays.
Provides Special Service support including Christmas Eve and Easter as well as other Holiday-time events.
Provides building and grounds support to Bel Air Preschool, meeting Preschool standards where young children are present five days a week.
Sets cleanliness standards and measurements for Church properties and sees that they are executed.
Schedules custodial personnel on a regular weekly basis as well as for all special Church events.
Is responsible for inventory control and purchasing of all needed supplies for buildings and grounds.
Acts as Community Liaison to all neighborhood HOAs, Fire & Police Departments, and all other applicable City Services as it pertains to servicing Bel Air Church
Collaborate with Vision Campaign Project Manager as applicable.
Is proficient in all areas of CCB (internal database system) that relate to Facilities, including room/resource reservations, event/registration/attendance creation and reporting; can provide CCB support to staff in these areas where necessary and appropriate.
Is proficient, or can be trained, in all areas of CCB (church database system) as it relates to Facilities, including room/resource reservations, event/registration/attendance creation and reporting. Ultimately can provide CCB support to staff in these areas where necessary and appropriate.
Is proficient or can be trained in all areas of the Facilities Help Desk. Ultimately can provide support and training to staff in all areas of the Help Desk where necessary and appropriate
Shares responsibility of Campus Services budget specific to Facilities.
Ensure company operational compliance with appropriate laws and policies to include OSHA safety practices and procedures.
Other Duties
Monitors and schedules regular maintenance of air conditioner system, roof, plumbing system, electrical system, fire, life and safety and other building systems.
Obtains bids for regular and emergency repairs and / or maintenance of the facility in accordance with the budget proposal.
Performs other maintenance and repair tasks.
Keeps a clean and organized workshop.
The ability to work varying shifts, occasional weekends and holidays, as well as overtime to support the business needs.
Maintains high ethical standards in the workplace.
Maintains good professional communication with all employees and external contacts.
Complies and maintain confidentiality of all company policies and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
This position is very physically active, and requires frequent mobility (including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crawling, and/or climbing), and the ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs. This position requires the ability to see, and to speak and hear, including on telephones and walkies. This employee will routinely be required to use standard office equipment.
The position will interact regularly with others in offices, classrooms, meeting spaces, and outdoor areas of the church campus, as well as potentially at off-campus sites, including while traveling to and from those sites. While performing the duties of the role, this position may be exposed to chemicals used for cleaning, odors, fumes or airborne particles, and moving mechanical parts.
