Food & Product Demonstrator

We are seeking a dynamic Demonstrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will engage with customers, showcase products, and drive brand awareness through various marketing initiatives.

Perform live demonstrations, highlighting the unique qualities and benefits of our products. Prepare and offer food samples while upholding strict hygiene and safety protocols, including the handling, preparation, and cooking of raw food items in various grocery store settings.

Shifts can vary from 8am-4:30pm. Must be flexible with work schedule and open to OT.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

Provide comprehensive product information and personalized recommendations. Able to answer questions and address concerns in a professional manner.

Apply dynamic sales strategies during demonstrations to foster customer interest and drive brand loyalty.

Meet with Meat Manager and Store Personnel to discuss the plan for the day and at the conclusion of the demo to provide feedback on the event.

Purchase all items needed for an effective event while staying within budget allowed.

Prepare and maintain appealing demonstration stations, manage the organization and the visual presentation of products in demonstration zones, ensuring an organized and appealing display to captivate customer interest.

Before, during and after the event, ensure your station is completely clean.

Collect valuable customer feedback and sales data to relay to the Demo Manager and Sales Team, aiding in the refinement of marketing and merchandising tactics.

Take pictures throughout the event and ensure you are completing the feedback document throughout the event. Send to the Demo Manager and Sales team a summary of sales results and event overview.

Collaborate and communicate directly with your supervisor daily to provide feedback and discuss obstacles that can interfere with completing the day-to-day task, focusing on achieving and surpassing sales and performance objectives.

Gain and maintain in-depth knowledge of our product line, engaging in continuous learning and development regarding our offerings, promotions, and merchandising strategies.

Ensure store shelves or additional point of sale are clean, organized, stocked with the right types of products and quantities, and look presentable.

Display, price, and rotate products in store, remove dated or damaged products.

Monitor store inventory based on sales and intake.

Optimize sales volume and profitability by identifying profitable lines and bestsellers.

Make recommendations for promotional strategies using sales and pricing data.

Work and communicate with buyers, suppliers, stores, and distributors.

Follow work instruction, PPE, food handling and safety guidelines based on SOP’s.

Maintain a safe work environment.

Other responsibilities maybe be added as needed.

Schedule:

Scheduling: Your work schedule will be provided one week in advance. If no demonstrations are available for the day, you will be assigned a list of 6-7 stores to visit and merchandise.

Weekend Availability: Availability during weekends is essential to engage with customers at peak times and foster significant sales opportunities.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess expertise in various cooking methods with the ability to skillfully prepare an assortment of Hispanic dishes while strictly adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.

Proficiency in using a range of kitchen equipment, including skillets, slow cookers, and grills, and other equipment is necessary.

Exceptional communicator with strong interpersonal abilities.

Proven sales and marketing skills aimed at meeting and exceeding targets.

Minimum of 2 years of related experience - food preparation or product demonstrations is preferred.

Bi-lingual English/ Spanish required.

Valid State Drivers License

Creative thinking skills.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications.

Strong organizational and time management skills.

High school diploma or GED.

Certifications in safe food handling and merchandising are preferred.

Physical demands consist of frequently standing, walking, reaching overhead, bending, twisting, pushing, and pulling, grasping, stooping, and lifting 50 lbs. Able to stand for prolonged periods of time. Able to walk long distance.
