Ranch Hand – Full-Time Position at Working Horse Ranch (Shadow Hills, CA)
We are now accepting applications for a full-time Ranch Hand to join our team at a working horse and farm animal facility in Shadow Hills, CA.
Position Overview:
This is a hands-on, physically active role suited for someone with strong horse handling experience and general ranch maintenance skills. The ideal candidate is dependable, knowledgeable, and comfortable working around large animals and machinery.
Responsibilities Include:
Daily horse and livestock care, including feeding, turnout, stall cleaning, grooming, and basic health checks
Ability to identify signs of distress or illness, including colic and lameness
Operating and maintaining ranch equipment, including tractors and utility vehicles
General property upkeep, repairs, and fencing
Supporting instructors or trainers when needed
Minimum Requirements:
Must be eligible to work legally in the United States (I-9 verification will be required)
Must be in good physical health and able to lift at least 50 pounds regularly
Prior experience in horse care and ranch work required
Must be comfortable working in outdoor conditions year-round
Must be able to drive a tractor and perform general equipment maintenance
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of equine first aid and livestock behavior
Familiarity with feeding schedules, medication protocols, and emergency procedures

Compensation:
Pay is competitive and based on experience. Housing is not included.
