Jonathan Club is an upscale, members-only, private club located in Santa Monica on the beach.
Club facilities include food & beverage outlets both casual and fine dining, luxurious meeting spaces, and a state-of-the-art athletics facility featuring wellness programs and spa services.
The Housekeeping / Houseman Supervisor will assist the Facility Manager to maintain Jonathan Club standards in the Facilities Department as well as managing and supporting daily supervisory duties.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Housekeeping / Houseman Supervisor position is responsible for the following:
· Coordinate and assist with the setup and cleanup of all events
· Manage and maintain inventories of departmental supplies in the housekeeping and event services, members’ amenities, furniture, and equipment
· Perform bi-annual inventory audits
· Monitor staff shifts based on business needs and event schedules
· Ensure safety protocols are consistently followed within the department
· Perform regular property walks and coordinate repairs with Engineer Department
· Act in the absence of the Facility Manager
· May assist with other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to assist with set up and breakdown of events for entire shift
· Must work weekends, schedule includes Saturday and Sunday
· Must be available to work holidays
· Bilingual (Spanish) QUALIFICATIONS
· 3 to 5 years of experience as a Banquet Houseperson Supervisor, or Facility Maintenance Lead from preferably hotels and/or private clubs
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent
