We have several part-time janitorial positions open at the Jet Center in Hawthorne. If you think you can handle a fulltime position, please let us know.
We are looking for experienced janitors only. This is not an entry level position.
This position is a high paced position and requires the janitors to be able to move swiftly during their shifts.
If you do not have this ability, do not apply.

Must have a vehicle and drivers license.
On site vehicles will be driven on the airport runway. Applicant will receive training by the City of Hawthorne to be able to drive on run ways.
The airport is a safe and exciting environment. There are pilots everywhere and the atmosphere is very professional. We expect professionalism from you and a good sense of humor and good attributes as well.

Janitor Job Responsibilities and Duties
1. Cleans, dusts, mops, and sweeps assigned areas
2. Performs minor maintenance on equipment and fixtures
3. Reports any major maintenance and cleanliness issues to management
4. Collects and disposes of trash in the proper manner
5. Cleans, restocks restrooms and supply closets
6. Clean windows
7. Clean common areas
8. Use basic cleaning equipment
9. Ability to work independently
10. Dust and polish furniture
11. Follows safety rules and precautions
12. Clean kitchens, staircases and offices
13. Communication, able to use a radio
14. Clean and recognize spills
15. Clean big screen TVs
16. Ensures that the facility is locked after business hours
Janitor Job Requirements
1. Can work with minimal supervision
2. Familiar with cleaning tools and supplies
3. Ability to lift at least 25-50lbs
4. Open to work shifting schedules and late nights till 10:30 and 11:30 pm.
5. Can handle materials with care
6. Complete cleaning tasks on time
7. Keep equipment clean
8. Understand building security
9. Have commercial cleaning experience
