Licensed Brush Clearance company seeking Line Trimmer Operators, (weed whackers).
Start is $17.50 per hour or depending on experience. We have a lot of work to do and need you!
We are looking to hire 10 new staff members to join our team. Must have work boots (at least 6" high in the ankle and tread on the sole should be deep enough to keep you safe).
It will require you to be outdoors and work under the sun. You will be using line trimmers (weed whackers). You will be working on flat or hillside properties, some of which can be steep. You will also be required to carry branches or other debris to the truck.
Job duties and Qualifications:
- Perform brush clearance and vegetation management in accordance with local fire safety guidelines.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment used for brush clearance, including chainsaws, weed whackers, and machete.
- Climb steep hillsides regularly
- Previous experience in landscaping, forestry, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of local vegetation and plant species is a plus.
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining brush clearance tools and equipment.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions:
For 8 hours or less.
Lift or carry up to 50lbs
Stand and walk for 8 hours
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. (not a must)
Hours are 6:30am-2:30pm Monday-Friday.
English is required. Bilingual applicants welcome.
The work we do is Seasonal.
