Landscape technician

The Landscape maintenance technician installs, renovates and maintains grounds and landscaped areas at designated job sites in accordance to pre-established schedules, specifications, and procedures established by Company policy and with specific direction from the Project Manager. Works on a landscape crew maintaining trees, shrubs, groundcovers and turf areas by pruning, fertilizing, weeding, watering, spraying mowing and raking. Assists in the planting and cultivating of landscape areas and grounds, including plants, flowers, shrubs and trees. Removes weeds from landscapes and hardscaped areas including removing trash and debris. Performs other duties as assigned.

Must have 2+ years' experience in the Landscape Industry.

Must have a valid CA Driver license.

Must be able to identify tasks needed and delegate as appropriate.

Must be able to report back to Project Manager daily.

Lifting, carrying and manipulating objects up to 50 pounds for varying periods of time. Constant standing, sitting, walking, stooping, squatting, bending, climbing, twisting, traversing uneven ground, reaching, pulling, stretching, grasping and gripping (hand tools and equipment), getting in and out of vehicles (vehicle cab and bed) throughout the day.

Must be able to wear all personal protective equipment according to company Safety Health and Environmental Policies, Industry Related ANSI Safety Requirements and OSHA Regulations.

Working conditions are outdoors with exposure to the following: Hot and cold temperatures, sudden changes in temperatures, varying levels of noise, slippery surfaces, rain, dust/dirt, fumes, wind, uneven ground and landscaped slopes.

Must be able to use a wide variety of landscape maintenance equipment including, but not limited to: Mowers of varying size: 21” through riding mowers. Gas powered hedge trimmers, weed whips and back-pack blowers. A wide range of hand tools including but not limited to: loppers, shears, pruners, hand saw, bow rake, leaf rake, pole pruner, pole saw, push broom and shovels.

Pay rate is based on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $30.00

Expected hours: 40 per week
