Part-time Maintenance Assistant position available at Lily of the Valley Mobile Home Village.
APPLICANT MUST LIVE LOCALLY to respond to occasional emergencies (every other weekend) and resident issues AND POSSESS A VALID CA DRIVER'S LICENSE. Background check, drug test and DMV check required.
Duties include:
Assist Maintenance staff as instructed by Park Manager. Perform various Park maintenance duties including, but not limited to: grounds keeping, gardening, landscaping, tree trimming, janitorial, housework, minor repairs, daily well operations, water quality testing, log keeping, operate utility vehicles and shop equipment.
On call after hours every other weekend, starting Friday pm through Monday am: Intermittent duty (approx 2 hours Saturday and 2 hours Sunday), including: well operation, water testing, water tank monitoring, keeping of well log, open and close pool yard, monitor pool water/pool use (summer only), answer calls, report the occasional emergency, schedule occasional repair services, patrol the Park, sticker improperly parked vehicles, etc.
Qualifications: Must possess current CA Driver's license. Standing, walking, crouching, kneeling, lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, driving a utility vehicle off road up to the water tanks and out to the well, outdoor manual labor in most weather conditions, including heat. Some experience preferred. Bi-lingual preferred, but not required.
Hours: 29 per week (including intermittent duty every other weekend and some holidays). Hours will change every other week, as shown below, and may vary slightly from hours shown below.
Monday through Friday: 29 hours: 7:00am to approx 2:00pm. Saturday and Sunday off.
The following week: Monday through Friday: 25 hours: 7:00am to approx 12:00pm. On call from Friday night through Monday morning: answering calls and working intermittently on Saturday and Sunday, approximately 2 hours each day, doing the tasks listed above.
Compensation:
29 hours a week at $13.25/hr.
