Compensation: $30 - $35 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: 12 - 30 hours a week, Depending on HK’s availability and preference. Somewhat flexible on the schedule
A kind family residing in La Canada is currently seeking a Housekeeper/Chef to manage the upkeep of our home and deliver delightful culinary experiences. They are seeking an individual who can prepare healthy and diverse meals while ensuring the upkeep of the household. The ideal candidate should be adaptable, patient, and genuinely committed to understanding the family's unique dynamics, taking special consideration navigating their teenage daughter’s bedroom with greater sensitivity when tidying. Someone who can seamlessly transition between tasks, and who can also gain trust with their daughter, will thrive in this role.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform general housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping floors.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, kitchen surfaces, and appliances.
- Organize and tidy up living spaces, including bedrooms and common areas.
- Manage laundry tasks, including washing, drying, and folding clothes, towels, and linens.
- Handling special cleaning tasks such as polishing silverware or cleaning fine furniture and appliances.
- Plan and prepare meals based on the family's preferences, ensuring they are nutritious and appealing.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen by cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment before and after use.
- Stock and organize the pantry, refrigerator, and freezer as needed.
- Manage food inventory and place grocery orders as required.
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including proper food handling and storage practices.
House Details:
- 4000 sq ft 3-storey home
- 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms
- Basement
Requirements Qualifications:
- 5+ years of private residential housekeeping experience
- Fluent in English
- Comfortable working with pets
- Must be legally eligible to work in the USA
- Must have reliable transportation
- Cooking skills are required, but gourmet chef experience is not necessary
