WE ARE LOOKING FOR A PERSONAL ASSISTANT/AIDE!
Location: Rolling Hills Estates, California, 90274
Start: ASAP
Compensation: $27 - $35 per hour (Depending on experience)
Schedule: 3 days a week (M, W, F), 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM or 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM, mid-morning to early afternoon, minimum 20 hours guaranteed per week.
A sweet and kind mother & son, residing in Rolling Hills, are seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Assistant/Aide. The assistant will be primarily working alongside the 29-year-old son who is on the autism spectrum and is just a sharp and happy individual. The family really values trustworthiness and honesty and is looking for someone who is intelligent, and caring, can assess an environment for safety, and always keeps an awareness of surroundings at all times. The ideal candidate would be a positive individual, who is street savvy, and has plenty of common sense, with a positive and engaging demeanor, as well as the ability to rally people in a supportive & positive way. The assistant should always prioritize the safety and well-being of the son at all times, especially when in public. Bonus, if the assistant has experience in special education/ special needs.
Responsibilities include:
Conduct a brief morning meeting to thoroughly review and discuss the day's schedule.
Act as the primary activity coordinator, creatively planning and implementing structured and engaging daily routines tailored to the son’s preferences and interests.
Assist in organizing and maintaining the son's daily routines.
Provide transportation services, including driving to various locations, appointments, and activities.
Be open and available to travel as needed.
Assist with a variety of day-to-day tasks as required.
Requirements and Qualifications:
5+ years of experience as a Personal Assistant
Possess an Educational Background preferably in Special Education
Excellent communication skills.
Experience working with people who have special needs.
Street smart and prepared to handle unexpected situations with sensitivity.
Must have a personal vehicle for transportation (Mileage will be reimbursed)
