About the Opportunity
We are currently seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician for a temp-to-hire opportunity at a well-established multi-family apartment complex. This position is ideal for a hands-on professional with experience in general building maintenance and a strong work ethic. Candidates who perform well may be offered a permanent position with the client.
Position Overview
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for ensuring apartments and facilities are maintained to high standards. You’ll perform repairs, respond to maintenance requests, and support the property team in maintaining a safe and attractive community environment.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct routine and emergency maintenance on plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems, and appliances.
Prepare vacant units for new tenants (turnovers).
Address resident maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner.
Perform basic carpentry, painting, and drywall repairs.
Maintain clean and functional common areas and equipment.
Track maintenance issues and report major concerns to the property management team.
Participate in on-call rotation as needed.
Requirements
2+ years of maintenance experience in apartment complexes or similar facilities.
Proficient in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and general maintenance.
EPA HVAC certification is a plus but not required.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Must pass a background check and drug screening.
