Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Weekend Cleaner to join our team. This role is essential in maintaining a clean, hygienic, and comfortable environment for our rescued dogs. The ideal candidate will be passionate about animal welfare and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
Cleaning Duties:
- Clean and sanitize dog kennels and living areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors in common areas and dog areas.
- Wash and disinfect food and water bowls, toys, and bedding.
- Remove and dispose of waste.
- Clean and sanitize staff and visitor areas, including restrooms.
Dog Care:
- Feed dogs according to their specific dietary needs.
- Provide fresh water and ensure it is always available.
- Assist with administering medications if required.
- Monitor dogs for any signs of illness or distress and report to the Rescue Coordinator.
General Maintenance:
- Assist with maintaining inventory of cleaning supplies and report shortages.
- Notify management of any maintenance or repair issues.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is in good working order.
Qualifications:
- Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not required.
- A passion for animal welfare and experience with dogs is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Physical stamina to handle cleaning tasks and lift equipment or supplies.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Working Hours:
Saturday and Sunday Hours: 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM
