Job Title: Weekend Housekeeper with Nanny Responsibilities
Reporting to: The Principals
Location: Malibu & Holmby Hills
Hours: Weekends, primarily 9am-6pm, but flexibility is required (8 hours per day guaranteed; occasionally may work 10 hours per day; half hour paid lunch included)
Salary: $35 per hour, but flexible depending on experience (overtime paid when over 8 hours per day)
Benefits: Medical is being offered (no dental/no vision), PTO (ideally taken when the family is away on travel), federal holidays (if it falls on a weekend), paid sick leave
The Family: Parents, and 3 daughters aged 9, 8, and 6
The Houses: Primary home in Holmby Hills (9,221sq ft, 5 bedrooms/5 bathrooms); and weekend home in Malibu (2,515sq ft, 4 bedrooms/2 bathrooms)
The Role
The primary responsibilities of this role are to clean and maintain the home and provide childcare when needed. A driver’s license and car are required as this job’s location will vary between the family’s home in Holmby Hills and their home in Malibu. You will also be expected to assist the family where needed with errands and so forth. Scheduling flexibility is very important as there are last-minute changes with the family’s schedule.

Housekeeping
Cleaning the kitchen, living areas, bedrooms, and bathrooms
Laundering, ironing, folding, and organizing clothing
Changing bed linens and towels as needed
Vacuuming and maintaining the house, e.g. emptying the dishwasher and taking rubbish out
Childcare
Looking after the children when both Principles are out of the home, including overseeing activities, meals, homework, bath time, bedtime, etc.
Stepping-in to assist with care when Principles are home, if needed
Supplies and Belongings
Ordering and restocking necessary household items
Keeping supplies neatly stored
Packing and transporting food, equipment, and luggage between households
Supporting the Family & Team
Contributing to the smooth running of household, e.g. answering doors and greeting guests
Be proactive and anticipating the needs of the family and guests
Supporting when the family is entertaining
Helping with errands
Assisting with ad hoc projects around the home
Requirements
Experience in a high-net-worth home, with knowledge of cleaning special surfaces and laundering high end articles of clothing
A clean valid Driver’s License, with own car to travel to and from work
Legally able to work within the United States
Lives in the surrounding area
Excellent references required from both current and previous employers
Happy to have a background check run (criminal & driver)
Happy to sign a confidentiality agreement before starting work
