Growing Personal Injury firm seeking an associate attorney to become part of our team.
We are looking for a motivated attorney with 0-5 years of experience to join our Personal Injury litigation department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a range of duties, including reviewing potential cases, conducting legal research, drafting pleadings and motions, participating in discovery, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court from pre-trial hearings to trial. Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills are essential.
Responsibilities:
-Represent clients in State and Federal court;
-Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients;
-Defend and take depositions;
-Negotiate settlements;
-Comply with all legal standards and regulations;
-Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law;
-Handle a case load of 100+ cases; and
-Manage paralegals.
Qualifications:
-Admitted to the CA Bar and in good standing;
-Familiarity with various legal documents;
-Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
-Ability to build rapport with clients; and
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
-Ability to speak Spanish;
-Computer literate;
-Ability to type 50 wpm;
-Experience with MerusCase.
Salary:
-$75k - $130k depending on experience;
-Potential bonus structure.
