We are looking for a skilled Family Law Paralegal to join our team and support our attorneys in managing a diverse caseload of family law matters.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and file legal documents such as petitions, declarations, motions, and other court forms in compliance with California family law procedures.
Draft correspondence, discovery requests, responses, and other legal documents.
Organize and manage case files, including tracking deadlines, case schedules, and court dates.
Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including compiling and organizing exhibits, witness lists, and other trial materials.
Conduct research on California Family Code and case law to support legal arguments.
Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel, providing updates and responding to inquiries as needed.
Coordinate with experts, witnesses, and other third-party professionals involved in cases.
Assist with discovery, including gathering and reviewing financial and other relevant documents, preparing financial disclosures, and managing case-related evidence.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal in family law.
Strong understanding of California family law and procedural rules.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in case management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
